Macallan Penfold is a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) UK Chartered Practice and is on the Register of Architects Accredited in Building Conservation. The practice was established by Andrew Macallan in 1987, becoming a partnership in 1989 with Mark Penfold. In 1999 the practice became a limited company with the original partners becoming Directors. Philip Terry joined the practice in 1997 and became a Director in 2002. The practice comprises four Chartered Architects (three of whom are also Directors), two architecturally trained assistants and one office administrator. Our staff comprises a team of people who have worked together in our practice and together elsewhere and have been picked for their high levels of knowledge and training. Our Directors have individually gained reputations for sympathetic design solutions and have broad experience on projects in sensitive locations, requiring a high design input and a good knowledge of the planning process. This is complemented by a sound technical ability and practical knowledge of construction. |

Founded in 1989, the practice has sustained a track record of work on a diverse variety of building design projects across Hampshire, Surrey and surrounding areas. Over the years, we have worked on more than 1,500 projects, and continue to provide design and architectural services for a broad range of clients across a variety of sectors. In addition to larger projects, we undertake smaller works and one-off houses. All our building design work receives a high degree of attention from the directors to provide sympathetic design and high quality buildings. We have a reputation for quality service and many repeating clients.
